You Can Handle It!

It’s MONDAY and a snowy one at that, but it’s yours, all yours! Well maybe not all yours if you have kids and they are off from school today. As soon as I woke up I was hit with the million dollar question “when can we go outside” and then asked every 5 minutes after that. So maybe today isn’t totally all mine, but if I hide for long enough a good part of today is mine. When working from home there is a very fine line that often gets blurred of how and when to get things done. My line is my office door that is always crossed. Most days I wait until the kids go to bed to work but some days things can’t wait until the night. Here are some tips for handling whatever your week throws at you, including the unexpected snow day.

No matter how overwhelmed I am, how stressed the kids are making me or how bad of a day I think I am having, I always am able to stop for a minute and look at my kids with love and gratitude and have a moment to just be… be totally present and thankful to have them in my life. I take small breaks throughout the day, never long enough for them, but moments filled with hugs and time to be truly present if only for a little while.

How many times do you start at a task only to be distracted by social media. So often I sit down to do something and I am taken off track to the point where I can’t even remember what I started to do. Stay focused and remember time is precious, choose to spend your time wisely and pick tasks that are going to move your business forward. Prioritize and do what you can when you can. You will get there!

How do you treat yourself? We know to be kind to others but how kind are you being to yourself? How do you handle your inner critic? Are you taking time during the day to do something for you? How do you unstress? The fact is YOU are what holds everything together most days. Am I right or am I right? We can’t have you falling apart so remember to take care of yourself! Did someone say today was Monday, that means some Bachelor time for me tonight! How do you unwind?

How do you handle what the week throws at you? Cheers to a good one!
